Pooja Agarwal is an Indian Born Para Shooter who competes in the SH1 classification. She has won a Silver medal at the World shooting para world cup in Al Ain, 2017. She is supported by the GoSports Foundation through the Para Champions Programme.
Early life and background[edit]
Pooja fell off a train while traveling in 2012 which caused loss of an upper limb and her two lower limbs. She trains for 3 to 4 hours daily at a range close by her home, post her office hours at Allahabad Bank. Pooja’s father was a government employee who passed away in December 2016. Her mother is a housewife, and she also has two younger brothers both of whom are working.
Career[edit]
Her First International medal was at the Para Shooting World Cup in Dubai in 2017, where she won a silver medal for the 10m Air Pistol event.
