Potential Studios is an Indian film production company based in Chennai. This partnership company was founded in 2014, and is part of Potential Group of Companies. Their first movie is Maya (2015) [1][2] followed by Maanagaram.
History
Potential Studios' first movie was Maya (2015), starring Aari, Nayantara, directed by Ashwin Saravanan, which was his debut film. The movie performed well at the box office and also won many awards for Nayantara in various events. The movie had a simultaneous release in Telugu as Mayuri. Maanagaram (2016) was their second project [3][4] and was directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, starring Sundeep Kishan, Sri, Regina Cassandra and Charle.[5][6][7][8][9] The film was revealed to be based on hyperlink cinema with Regina's role constant throughout the film.[10][11][12] Sundeep and Regina paired up for the third time after the Telugu films Routine Love Story and Ra Ra... Krishnayya.[13] The audio songs and trailer of the movie were released as part of the celebration of Madras Day, which is celebrated every year on 22 August.[14] After Maya and Maanagaram, Monster was the third film of this production house, starring S. J. Suryah, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Karunakaran and directed by Nelson Venkatesan.[15][16]
