Pratical high school
Pratical High School(PHS), Sikatiya, Siwan, is a school in Siktiya, Siwan, Bihar, India.[1] It was established in 1941[2] as a private school by late. Saryug Saran Dev but due to some legal issue, He handed it over to Bihar Government and it gets affiliated to the Bihar School Examination Board, Patna, Bihar.[3] School code as per Bihar Education Government is 92096.[4] late. Saryug Saran Dev was the first principal and also the founder of school. But at present time Mr. Rajeshwar Singh[5] is the Principal in school.

The school has library facilities in the building of the school. The facility is available to students of the school during the school hours. A total of 104+ books[6][clarification needed] are available in that library of different varieties from Historical to Modern. All classes are provided with at least one library period per week.

The school laboratories include physics lab, chemistry lab, biology lab, maths lab, audio–visual hall.

The campus includes a full-sized playground with football field, cricket pitches for net practices, kho-kho and kabaddi courts.

Buildings[edit]
The school has its own building including three blocks girls, boys, office and Administrative. No any class or room is for instructional purpose. School has separate rooms for teacher and principal. A boundry surrounds the whole school including its playground along its perimeter. The source of drinking water is handpump and it is functional.

On the bank of this pond, many statues of the sun are created (called Chhathi mata in formal language of village), Here on the day of a festival name chhath puja people thank Sun for bestowing the bounties of life on earth and fulfilling particular wishes by praying to the rising and setting sun.
