Price Of Life is a mixtape by South African rapper Young Mahasi, the mixtape was released January 18, 2019 by YMA4 Music.[1] The mixtape features guest apperance from Queen Txhizzy, Drizzy Baby and A4 as half member of YMA4. The mixtape contains a covered song written and performed by Bob Marley.
Background[edit]
YMA4 announced Young Mahasi's project on December 2018 on their official Facebook page. Before that, the duo appeared in the studio with Queen Txhizzy. Mayman also were believed to make a guest appearance on the mixtape after he was also seen in the studio along with Young Mahasi. Bakenberg South based rapper Drizzy Baby were invited to make a collaboration with the duo to appear on the mixtape as one of their home association act since they released their collaboration song in 2015. All featured guest on the mixtape wrote their verse the same night the songs were recorded, only Young Mahasi's work on the project is not written. Making the Price Of Life as the first solo mixtape and non-written mixtape by Young Mahasi. Little Kay also appeared during the production sessions of the mixtape in January 2019 with Young Mahasi, A4, and Super. YMA4 announced they will be performing a new song from Young Mahasi's mixtape on December 2018 at "Show Your Shorts" home event.
Composition[edit]
The instrumentals included on the mixtape are composed by American hip hop producer Kane Beatz, Yung Kartz, Superstaar Beats, Audiobinger and Tha Silent Partner. They are also credited as the composers of the mixtape by Young Mahasi and YMA4. Young Mahasi arranged and compiled the production of the mixtape. The song "Redemption song" is originally written and performed, the instrument used by Young Mahasi was composed by Audiobinger. A song "Best Entertainer" it's instrumentals originally is from "Rise Above" by Lil Wayne from studio album I Am Not A Human Being and was produced by Kane Beats.

The cover song Redemption, originally written and performed by Bob Marley, the song was downloaded and viewed more than 9000 times respectively, holding more than 600 votes with 8.5/10 rates.[2]
