Priya Anjali Rai (born December 25, 1977), is an Indian-born American pornographic actress,[1] known for her work in films produced by companies like Brazzers and Naughty America.

Early life[edit]

Priya Anjali Rai was born December 25, 1977 in New Delhi, and was adopted by an American couple at age two.[citation needed] She was raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota and attended Arizona State University, where she studied marketing.[2]

Career[edit]

Rai worked as a fashion and swimwear model prior to working in the adult industry.[3] Rai was a stripper for 12 years prior to appearing in pornographic films.[3] She entered the adult film industry in 2007[1] at the age of 29.[4]

In June 2013, she announced her retirement from adult films to focus on her mainstream career and personal life.[5] Rai played the lead role of "Isis" in the mainstream horror film Isis Rising: Curse Of The Lady Mummy.[6] In 2014, she was still touring as a feature stripper. On March 22, 2018, Priya announced her comeback after a six-year hiatus.

She has expressed her opposition towards Measure B, a law requiring pornographic actors to wear condoms during all sex scenes filmed in Los Angeles, California.[7]

Personal life[edit]

Rai resides in Phoenix, Arizona.[2] She is the mother of two children,[citation needed] and became a grandmother at the age of 35.
