Psychlona is an English stoner/desert rock band formed in Bradford in Yorkshire, England. The band consists of Phil Hey (guitar, vocals), Dave Wainfor (guitar), Martyn Birchall (bass), and Scott Frankling (drums). Their lyrics usually cover topics like drugs, tripping and the universe.

History[edit]

The band started in 2015, when guitarists Phil and Dave found one another in a local gig and started talking about bands like Kyuss, Fu Manchu, Nebula and Hawkwind over some beers[1]. They decided to form a band and quickly found Martyn to play the bass, however, finding a drummer that would satisfy them took some time, since Scott is the band's sixth drummer.

On February 2018, the band released their debut album Mojo Rising with Ripple Music[2] and later on 2018 released the vinyl versions with Cursed Tongue Records[3]. The album was well received by dessert/psychedelic rock fans and inspired the band to start working on their next project.

On August 2020, they released their second album Venus Skytrip with Ripple Music and Cursed Tongue Records[4].
