Pune Institute of Business Management (PIBM) is a NAAC Accredited private business school headquartered in Pune, Maharashtra, India. It is affiliated with Savitribai Phule Pune University and approved by AICTE. PIBM offers postgraduate courses in its main campus and graduation courses in two campuses, in Solan, Himachal Pradesh and Guwahati, Assam.
History
Pune Institute of Business Management[1] was set up in the year 2007 with its first management program, PGPBM, in Bavdhan Campus. In 2009, PIBM established its own campus at Pirangut with an 18-acre area. In 2010, PIBM received AICTE approval and launched the PGDM course with a syllabus design approved from Industry.[2] PIBM is situated on the outskirts of Pune in the vicinity of the Industrial Area at Pirangut. The campus is spread across 18 acres.
Management programs
- Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM):
Two-year full-time program with a specialization in Marketing, Finance, and HR.
- Master of Business Administration (MBA):
Two-year full-time program with specializations in Marketing, Finance, and HR affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University.
Courses
The curriculum is divided into academic areas: Marketing; Finance and Accounts; Human Resources & Organizational Behavior; Information Technology; Production & Operations Management; General Management, Business Communication, Aptitude Skills, Managerial Economics. The PGDM and MBA curriculum consists of two internship programs, i.e., Winter Internship and Summer Internship.[citation needed]
