Qasit ibn Zuhay al-Taghlibi (قاسِط بن زُهیر بن حرث التغلبی) was among those companions of Hussain ibn Ali who were killed in the first attack of Umar ibn Sa'd's army.
Biography[edit]
Qasit was a companion of Ali ibn abi Talib who participated in various battles including Jamal, Siffin, and Nahrawan.[1] He was also a member of Hasan ibn Ali's military force in Kufa.[1]
On the day of Ashura[edit]
After Hussain's caravan reached Karbala, he and his brothers, Kurdus and Muqsit joined the Imam's army overnight and were killed on the Day of Ashura.[1]
He is mentioned in ziarat al-Shuhada: "peace be upon Qasit and Kurdus, the sons of Zuhayr al-Taghlibi".[2]
