Quantenna Communications, Inc. is an American fabless semiconductor company, specializing in Wi-Fi technologies. The company is headquartered in San Jose, California, United States. Quantenna went IPO in October 2016.[1] and is listed on Nasdaq under the ticker symbol QTNA.[2] As of the end of 2018, the company has over 400 employees[3] worldwide, with offices in Australia, China, France, Russia, Spain, Taiwan and the USA. Its main business is to provide Wi-Fi solutions to Service Providers to deliver broadband services to residential homes. These solutions are typically used in home networking devices such as access points, residential gateways, set-top boxes, Wi-Fi repeaters.
History
Quantenna Communications, Inc., formerly known as mySource Communications, Inc. was founded by Andrea Goldsmith, Behrooz Rezvani, and Farrokh Farrokhi in 2006.[4] Its early backers include Sequoia Capital, Sigma Partners, and Venrock Associates.[5]
Quantenna was ranked #36 of the Wall Street Journal's "Next Big Thing" top 50 VC-backed Start-ups in 2012.[6][7] In 2013, it was named Start-Up to Watch by Global Semiconductor Alliance (GSA). Later, it won the Most Respected Private Company in 2015 and 2016 consecutively.[8] In 2015, Quantenna was ranked 31st Fastest Growing Company in North America on the 2015 Deloitte Technology Fast 500.[9] Quantenna was again named one of the Technology Fast 500 companies by Deloitte in 2018.[10]
