Quark Baby Ltd. (Quark) is a Vancouver-based Canadian start-up which provides baby products.[1][2] It was founded in 2021 by Garett Senez, the CEO, and Justin Gurinskas, the VP Products. Its products are designed in Canada and marketed globally.
History[edit]
Quark Baby was launched in Spring 2022 in Vancouver, British Columbia with an assortment of six products for cooking, feeding, storing, and meal preparation.[3]
The company has taken part in different events including, The Baby Show in Vancouver (August 2022) and Future for Baby in Toronto (April 2023).[4][5] In September 2023, it is set to exhibit at the Kind + Jugend tradeshow in Cologne Germany.[6]
Products[edit]
Quark Baby has about 25 products, according to its official website including quook, fruuti, feedi, chiill, storii, foxii, buubi bottle, and thiingy.[3]
Although Quark's products are described as "innovative and affordable", some reviewers have observed that some of them are heavy for babies, easy to accidentally destroy by babies, and pricey.[7]
Business[edit]
In February 2023, Quark Baby announced expansion to the US market, and has established partnerships with a range of retail stores including Walmart Canada, Amazon, Indigo Books and Music, Loblaw Companies, and London Drugs.[1][3]
In a May 2023 baby food maker market research report by Technavio, Quark Baby was profiled as one of the key companies in the baby food maker market.[8]
Another market research by Research and Markets published in July 2023 listed the company as one of the leading vendors in the market.[9]
