R Diwakaran is an Indian Cinematographer,Director who primarily works in Tamil, Malayalam and Telugu Film Industry.[1] He is one of the very few Cinematographers who works mainly in Films and also in Media Events and Television Shows in India.

Early life and career[edit]

After the graduation in Diploma in Film Technology in Cinematography from Film and Television Institute of Tamil Nadu, He assisted Cinematographer V. Manikandan in films and Advertisements. He debuted as a cinematographer in the Tamil film Parthiban Kanavu [2] directed by Karu Pazhaniappan produced by Sathya Jyothi Films a box office Success.Then he worked with Director Rosshan Andrrews in theMalayalam film Notebook.[3][4] He also associated with Director Rosshan Andrrews in the Malayalam films Evidam Swargamanu,[5] Mumbai Police,[6] How Old Are You? [7] and also in the Remake of the same film in Tamil as 36 Vayathinile.[8][9][10] And also his notable works with Director Ohmkar in Telugu Films Genius [11][12] and Raju Gari Gadhi 2 [13]Telugu Horror comedy film, produced by Prasad V Potluri under PVP Cinema the sequel to Raju Gari Gadhi 2015 Telugu film.[14]

Diwakar also works as Director of Photography in Cinema Award functions in Bollywood and in South India like cineMAA Awards, Zee Cine Awards, Star Screen Awards,Vanitha Film Awards, IIFA Utsavam, etc.. He has done some of famous Indian Television Shows like Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, Bigg Boss, Indian Idol,.he also worked as Director of Photography for the live concerts like Vijay Tv’s Ilaiyaraaja 1000, Sun TV’s Nenje Ezhu[15] by A. R. Rahman, Zoom (TV channel)’s Lakme Fashion Week, Producing Colors Tamil Non Fiction shows
