Rajiv Dingra (born 12 February 1985) is an Indian entrepreneur. He is founder & CEO of WATConsult, a digital agency, founded in 2007.[1] He was awarded The Young Social Media Entrepreneur of the Year award at CMO Asia Singapore in 2015. Dhingra is also a member of the Executive Board at Dentsu Aegis Network.[2]
Early life and education
Dingra was born in 1985 in Mumbai, Maharashtra. He attended Jai Hind College where he received his bachelor's degree in Management Studies in 2005. He completed his Master of Business Administration in 2007 from Welingkar Institute of Management.[3]
Career
Dingra began his professional career in 2006 by starting WATBlog.com, a digital media analysis blog. In 2007, he founded WATConsult, a digital and social media agency in Mumbai with branch offices in Delhi and Bangalore. The company is one of the largest and most awarded digital and social media agencies in India, winning more than 200 accolades over several platforms.[4] Dingra sold majority stakes of WATConsult to Dentsu Aegis Network at a valuation of Rs. 180-200 crore.[5] Since the acquisition, Dingra worked as CEO of WATConsult alongside Ashish Bhasin, the CEO of Dentsu Aegis Network.[6]
In 2015, Dingra was awarded The Young Social Media Entrepreneur of the Year award at CMO Asia Singapore. He was also listed in IMPACT's 40 Under Forty Entrepreneurs as well as Campaign Asia's 40 under 40 lists of advertising media and Marcomms professionals across Asia-Pacific region.[7][8]
Dingra is also a guest lecturer at Indian Institute of Management Calcutta and MICA Ahmedabad. Dingra was also one of the speakers at TedX Mica 2018.[9][10]
