Rajive Dhavan is an Indian entrepreneur, brand consultant, digital marketer, speaker and author. Born on July 31, 1986, in Amritsar, Punjab, he did his schooling from D.A.V. Public School, Hyderabad, and studied B.A. Mass Communication (Journalism) in St. Mary’s College, Hyderabad, Telangana. He is the founder and CEO of What’s In a Name Creatives.[1] He's also the author of the business book STFU - Start The F*ck Up.[2][3][4]

Career[edit]

Early work experience[edit]

In 2002, after passing the 10th standard, Dhavan quit education, and took up his first job as a retail clerk, at a clothing store called Zodiac. He worked there for a year, and resumed his education. A few months later, in 2004, he quit his first job, and joined GE Capital as a process executive.[5]

In 2009, he took up the role of a sub-editor and columnist with the English-language daily Deccan Chronicle.[6]

In 2010, Dhavan joined an advertising agency as a copywriter.[7]

Entrepreneur[edit]

On August 13, 2010, Dhavan started an Advertising & Digital Marketing Company - What's In a Name Creatives.[12][13][14] Subsequently, he launched Namesake Production, in 2012, and Just Flaunt Salon, in 2013.[15]
