Reenie Mansata is an Indian singer and songwriter.

Biography[edit]

Mansata is a singer, songwriter and performer who has stayed true to being an Indie-Pop artist since the start of her music career in 2005.[1] She has her very own style of combining simple yet meaningful lyrics with catchy melodies on groovy and upbeat tracks. She currently resides in Mumbai after having lived in New York for a decade where she hosted a popular Music/ Bollywood game show at a leading South-Asian television network before she dived into music completely.[2]

Mansata's music career launched with her debut album ‘Rahey Tu Rahey’, release in India in 2005 followed by her second self-titled album ‘Reenie’, recorded in New York which released at the end of 2007.[2] This album also marked the beginning of Reenie’s song-writing career as she started writing and composing her own songs from then on.[3]

As an international artist, Reenie has toured in the UK, performing to England and Wales. Her songs have been played extensively on U.K's Asian radio stations and she has topped charts and been voted' Top 10 Female artist of the year' after the launch of her album 'Reenie'.[2]

The songs of this album have been embedded with frequencies of the ancient Solfeggio tones that are known to generate positive and healing effects on listeners. The dance-friendly music of this album has been recorded in New York, Miami and London by some of the most talented and sought after music producers who have all individually worked with international top artists like, Michael Jackson and Janet Jackson, Britney Spears, Nelly, Shakira, Amy Winehouse, Destiny's Child and Sting amongst others.[4]
