Born in Belgrade, he grew up in different neighborhoods, moving a lot due to his parent divorce and early loss of his mother. He dropped out of school at the age of 16 and started working as a sound engineer in recording studios. During that period Relja was a member of hip hop duo Crni Protokol which along groups like Full Moon and Guerrilla marked the start of new wave in Serbian hip hop in the late 90s. By the end of 1999, Relja was hosting a radio show called EKIPA STIGLA on Belgrade's most popular radio station B92 as well as presenter on legendary radio show called RITAM SRCA. During the year 2000 he played the character of Ćime in movie 1na1 which was written by Srdjan Andjelić and directed by Mladen Matičević, the film enjoyed great success in Serbia's neighbouring countries.

With the beginning of the new millennium came the partnership with Vanja Ulepic Oneya as forming the first balkan hip hop label Bassivity Music. During this period (2002-2006) Relja worked as a&r and producer on debut albums of some of the most influential artist in balkan hip hop history such as Marčelo, Struka,[1] Shorty, Thcelafamilija and many more. With Ivan Jović Ikac he made the Serbian rap duo VIP,[2] which is considered one of the most relevant and influential rap groups in balkan area ever[by whom?]. The first VIP album - EKIPA STIGLA was also the first release on the newly formed Bassivity Music record label, this album changed the course of events in Serbian hip hop forever, even today this album is considered all-time classic.
