Rishi Nikam (also known as NikamRishi ; born 11 September 2000) is an Indian filmmaker and writer known for his works in Marathi and hindi films, short films and series[1] and founder[2] [3]of kalakari[4] Rishi made his directorial debut in film industry in 2019 with short film Sketch Book.[5] Founder and director of kalakari
Early life and education[edit]
Rishi was born in Dewas[6] with his parents to the Madhya pradesh in 2000.[7] he earned a bachelor in fine arts in indore, Madhya Pradesh.
Career[edit]
Rishi Nikam started his career as a VFX[8] and animation artist. his film career started with the short film Sketch Book.[5][9] This short film got awarded in many film festival and awards.[10][11] [12]Sketchbook short film of Nikam's got Best Animation award at the CMS Vatavaran in India.[13][14]
2019 Rishi[15] [16]founded the Kalakari Film Festival Pvt. Ltd.[17][18][19] festival aims for women[20] film makers.[21] [22][23]
He was the author of the Magazine Kalakari art and film magazine.[24][25] 2019 Rishi made a documentary based on Indian Tea, named Chai yari.[26]
In 2021 he worked on NFT.[7]
