Biography[edit]

Reinders started Frisbee Management in 1987, Reinders managed and booked (inter)national bands and artists.[2] In 1990 Reinders made his TV debut with his band Frisbee in the five-hour show of RTL Veronique. A choir, consisting of Ria Valk, Trea Dobbs and Helen Shepherd and lead singer Jimi Bellmartin, accompany Reinders in this.[3] With his band Mood Swings, Reinders participated in the first Enschede pop group presentation in 1990.[4]

With the Robert Jay Band Reinders released the single "Red Bullet" in 1994. The song was picked up by Frits Spits who played the song in his program De Avondspits. As a result, the Robert Jay Band signed a recording contract with EMI and went on various club tours at home and abroad.[5] During these tours the band was accompanied by musicians such as Hans Duffer, Cesar Zuiderwijk, Ton Dijkman, Cees ten Dam, Will Maas, Roger Cicero, Michel van Schie, Jimi Bellmartin, Martin Verdonk and Nippy Noya. Since 2019, the Robert Jay Band has been playing with Tollak Ollestad as the new lead singer. In 2019, 25 years after the first release, the remake of ''Red Bullet'' with new lead singer Tollak Ollestad was also released.[6]

In 1998, Frisbee Management became the Robert J. Reinders Group Business Events, with the focus shifting to the total organization of (company) events and (inter)national concerts. The company won a ''Bronze Giraffe'' during its existence in 2004 and was nominated twice more in 2005 and 2006 for ''Best Business Event in the Netherlands.''[7] In addition, Reinders held various board positions at Junior Chamber Twente and Junior Chamber Netherlands.
