Robin Bade
Script error: No such module "AfC submission catcheck". Robin Bade (born August 26, 1981, in Munich) is a German radio and television presenter, best known for his work on the quiz station 9Live and as a Promi Big Brother participant in 2016.[1]
Life and career[edit]
Bade, the son of an American father and a German mother, attended the private SAE Institute for a year, where he acquired knowledge in the areas of film editing, 3D animation, and special effects.
According to the broadcaster 9live his media career began with the show Chartbreaker, which he developed himself and moderated for an unnamed radio station for a year and a half.[2] He also kept getting offers to appear in front of the camera, for example in photo series for the youth magazine Mädchen. He also played a neo-Nazi in the 2001 short film Hätte ich es verhindern können.[3] In 2002 he sang the theme song for the ProSieben program Dr. Verena Breitenbach.
From 2003, he hosted on 9Live. In September 2003, together with Alida Kurras, Anna Heesch, Jörg Draeger, and Thomas Schürmann, he took turns hosting the world's longest television quiz for 52 hours and 45 minutes. The world record was recognized by the Guinness Book of Records.[4]
In 2005 he was commissioned to look through American talk shows and find suitable, ridiculous or bizarre, scenes, which he later presented in a special section on Sonya Kraus' talk talk talk show on ProSieben.
From 2016 to 2023, Robin Bade worked as a presenter at the teleshopping channel 1-2-3.tv.[5]
In September 2016 he was selected as a surprise candidate and replacement for the eliminated candidate Edona James on Promi Big Brother 2016. After he was eliminated from the show (10th place), he reported on his experiences in Focus magazine.[6]
In December 2018, Bade presented the Sat.1 show Dinner-Party - Die Entscheidung. Bade hosts a call-in competition several times a week on Radio Energy.[7]
