Roderick Teerink (Alkmaar, Netherlands; January 20, 1976) is a Dutch-Argentine actor, director and music producer.
Biography[edit]
Born in the Netherlands to a Dutch father and an Argentine mother, Roderick spent his childhood in Nigeria, Venezuela, Colombia, Bolivia and the Netherlands, before attending film school in the United States. After graduating in December 1999, he moved to Los Angeles where he landed sporadic music videos and commercial jobs as a production assistant, actor, dancer, and editor. After moving to Japan, Teerink amassed a long list of credits by appearing as an actor in national and international ad campaigns for Toyota, Honda, Sony, Olympus, and Samsonite. Other projects included starring in, co-directing, co-editing, and writing a script for an educational video series for Yahoo! Japan and an independent comedy / reality series that aired in Japan and Canada. In 2013 he played Sven on the hit Chilean television series "Soltera Otra Vez", and is scheduled to appear in the Chilean HBO LatinAmerica production "Roommates."
In addition to acting, Roderick is known in Japan as a music producer, with three Top 10 albums featuring popular rap artist Hannya. He is also credited as a writer on three books published in Japan in 2010.
