Running Bean Co. is an urban sportswear and apparel brand based in Loudoun County, Virginia inside the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. The company was established in 2014 as an ongoing project to interlace urban apparel interpretations and superior sportswear function the through limited-edition releases set for a broad spectrum of audiences and athletic use.

Running Bean Co. was founded by Pretlow Stevenson III and his son, Pretlow Stevenson IV, on April 8, 2014.[1] Frustrated with design applications in the sportswear apparel industry, an ongoing project was conceived to explore a more aggressive urban application of design concepts to sportswear apparel and accessories.
The Six Bands[edit]
In late 2014, Running Bean Co. adopted a more aggressive logo application identifiable by the addition of six bands across the traditional logo design to signal the six tenets or struggles associated with the pursuit of greatness.[2][3] These tenets, also known as the cold, or lonely, six are: passion, purpose, precision, perseverance, peace and proficiency.
