SBSi is a South Korean new-media company and digital business subsidiary of the Seoul Broadcasting System (SBS). It provides web-agency services—building and operating websites—for SBS's broadcast, radio, entertainment, sports, economy, and news channels, as well as major SBS affiliate companies, and also distributes SBS News content through web portals, social media, and YouTube.[1]
History
- August 7, 2017 – SBS I&M established, spun off from the web-agency division of SBS Contents Hub[2]
- 2019 – Launched the IMAD ad-stitching advertising platform and the Tpod broadcaster-alliance audio service[2]
- 2020 – Began operating as an AWS APN partner, providing cloud-based online video platform services[2]
- 2022 – Renamed from SBS I&M to SBSi; relocated headquarters to the SBS Mokdong Broadcasting Center[2]
- 2024 – Established a News Service Division, absorbing the news service division of SBS Digital News Lab[2]
