SXSW EDU

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

SXSW EDU is a four day conference and festival held in Austin, Texas, every March for education professionals including educators, policy makers, and the EdTech community.

SXSW EDU is a component of the South by Southwest family of conferences and festivals having held it's inaugural event in March 2011 — with the goal of celebrating innovations in learning.[1]

The conference is internationally recognized for its captivating sessions, in-depth workshops, engaging learning experiences and networking events. SXSW EDU provides attendees with an environment that nurtures innovation in learning and connects educators to work towards the goals of impacting the future of education.[2]

Education thought leaders from all over the world have spoken at SXSW EDU including philanthropist Bill Gates,[3] author Brené Brown,[4] Temple Grandin,[5] and Professor Christopher Emdin[6].

What’s been most interesting to observe is the evolution of the topics that the community wants to address at SXSW EDU, as reflected through the PanelPicker [7]crowd sourced program.
