Sakshi Joshi is an Indian TV news journalist for the past 12 years who is currently working as a primetime anchor and special correspondent[2] with BAG Films Pvt Ltd (News24). She anchors a much-watched and popular debate show called 5 Ki Panchayat where she is often praised for grilling politicians with her hard-hitting questions.
Career
Sakshi started her career in 2005 at a very young age of 19 years from a regional news channel, Total TV. In 2008, Joshi joined the national channel India TV. Covering Jammu terrorist encounters to Delhi blasts, the 2009 general elections to interviewing big names like Amitabh Bachchan, Katrina Kaif, Bobby Deol, Shahid Kapoor, Hrithik Roshan, Gautam Gambhir, she made her mark in reporting and was soon selected to BBC World Service as a producer. Although she worked with BBC radio and online for a short period, she did become one of the favourite voices of BBC radio, presenting their morning and prime time shows Namaskar Bharat, Dinbhar and Tees Minute. In 2010, she moved to IBN7 Network 18, now called News18India, as an anchor. After a sabbatical, she joined News 24 (India) in February 2016 as an anchor and special correspondent. She anchors a popular debate show called 5 ki Panchayat every day.
