Sales Assembly is a professional development organization headquartered in Chicago, Illinois.[1] Founded in 2017 by Jeff Rosset and Matt Green, the company provides training, certification programs, and peer communities for sales and go-to-market (GTM) teams in business-to-business (B2B) technology and software-as-a-service (SaaS) sectors.[2]
History
Sales Assembly was established in 2017 by Jeff Rosset and Matt Green as a community for sales leaders and professionals in the B2B technology sector.[3][4][5][6] The company began as a networking and professional exchange initiative and later became a membership-based platform offering structured programs and skill certifications for go-to-market professionals.[7][8]
In 2020, the organization adopted a virtual delivery model and launched VentureSCALE, a program for early-stage B2B technology firms.[9][10] It also collaborated with Holistic to publish the Sales Assembly Salary Survey, which reported compensation data for sales roles in the technology industry.[11][12] During technology-sector layoffs, Sales Assembly took part in local hiring initiatives through the Chicago Superstars network.[13]
In 2021, Sales Assembly partnered with #samsales Consulting to launch the Women Sales Leaders Collective, a networking and development program for women in sales leadership.[14]
The organization has taken part in charitable and inclusion initiatives, including Share Our Strength: No Kid Hungry, and has provided program access to employees from underrepresented groups in technology.[15] In collaboration with Gong and The Revenue Collective, it offered certifications for Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) employees in B2B technology firms.[16][17]
Sales Assembly has also worked with Jump Capital to support portfolio companies through the Revenue Leadership Collective, a quarterly event series for revenue executives.[18]
Operations
Sales Assembly operates on a membership model, offering training programs, peer groups, and resources for B2B technology companies.[5][4][19] Training covers areas such as negotiation, qualification, and account management.[20][21] Programs are delivered through live and virtual sessions and are used by both firms with established enablement teams and those without.[22][23]
The organization facilitates peer groups for executives, conducts performance assessments, and provides resources for onboarding and deal strategy. It organizes in-person events such as the Sales Assembly Annual Summit[24][25] and monthly executive dinners, which bring together executive-level sales and revenue professionals from technology companies in various cities across the country.[26]
Recognition
In 2021, Sales Assembly was listed among the “101 Top Illinois Association Companies and Startups” by BestStartup.us.[27] The company was included on the Inc. 5000 list of fastest-growing private companies in the United States in 2023.[28] In 2025, it was named among the “Top 30 Business Development Training Services in Chicago” by The Manifest.[1]
