Samantha Heathwood
Samantha Heathwood is an Australian television journalist and news presenter.[1][2]
Heathwood is best known for her work with both the Nine Network and WIN Television, particularly in Queensland where she previously anchored local WIN News bulletins before joining Nine.[3][4][5]
Heathwood is currently a Brisbane-based presenter, co-anchoring both regional Queensland and Darwin editions of Nine News with Jonathan Uptin.[6]
In late 2016, Heathwood was revealed as one of three original presenters of Nine's newly introduced regional Queensland, regional New South Wales, Australian Capital Territory and regional Victoria bulletins, along with Vanessa O'Hanlon and Jo Hall.[7] The bulletins were launched after the Nine Network had formed a new affiliation partnership with Southern Cross Austereo.[7]
Heathwood and Uptin teamed up in August 2017 when Nine axed its locally produced Darwin bulletin, in favour of incorporating Darwin news into the production of the regional Queensland bulletins, which are presented from Brisbane.[8][9]
