Saravanan Arul (born 10 July 1970), is an Indian businessman, actor and film producer.[2][3][4] He is the chairperson of the shopping outlet Saravana Stores which is located in various different locations within Tamil Nadu state of India.[5] His net worth is expected to exceed over $2 billion.[6] Hence, becoming one of the richest men in India.[7][8]
In 2019, the media reported that Saravanan will step into the Indian cinema as a film producer and actor. He was to debut alongside actress Geethika Tiwary and another heroine in an untitled film with J. D.–Jerry.[9][10] In 2022, he made his debut The Legend with Geethika Tiwari and Urvashi Rautela in the female leads.[11][12]

He was born in an Indian Tamil family from Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India and was well supported by his father. His uncle was Saravana Selvarathinam, also a businessman. His father and uncle Yoga Rathinam and Raja Rathinam also joined the family business. They also contributed a lot to his father’s business career. His grandfather was Saravanan Nadar. Saravanan Arul is married and has two daughters. The elder, Meenakshi is married to Deepak.[13]

Saravanan Arul started his career from his family business. He is currently the owner of many shopping stores like “Saravana Selvarathinam”, “Legend Saravana”, and “The Legend New Saravana Stores”. His father and his uncle helped him to have a successful business career.[14][15]
Along with business with est. ₹10,000–15,000 crore net worth,[16] he briefly stints as an actor. He reached fame with his appearance in his business advertisements alongside actresses Tamannaah and Hansika Motwani. Amidst the ridicule and trolls, his business amassed popularity and high sales figures.[17][18]
Film[edit]
In 2021, Saravanan officially announced his debut film through his social media platforms. In 2022, he announced that model-turned-actress Urvashi Rautela will be pairing him in The Legend, which released in July 2022, officially marking Saravanan's first theatrical release. His film was reserved in more then 650 theaters in India alone.[19][20][21][22] However before Urvashi was accepted in the film, Saravanan approached actress Hansika Motwani to take part in his film due to some circumstances she later dropped the offer.[23][24][25]
