Scott McCulloch (born March 10, 1986 in Lacombe, Alberta) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey leftwinger, formerly of the Texas Stars of the American Hockey League.[1]
Playing career[edit]
McCulloch played junior ice hockey for the Grande Prairie Storm of the Alberta Junior Hockey League from 2002 to 2004 before playing for Colorado College from 2004 through 2009. He turned pro by joining the Las Vegas Wranglers of the ECHL in 2009.
For the 2009-10 season, McCulloch followed former Wranglers' coach Glen Gulutzan to join the Texas Stars of the American Hockey League. In a season and a half for the Stars, McCulloch has appeared in 62 regular season games, scoring 9 goals and 15 assists (24 points), and 23 postseason games, scoring 3 goals and 4 assists (7 points).[2] Despite a disappointing regular season in 2009-10, McCulloch was a significant playoff contributor during the Texas Stars' 2010 Calder Cup Playoffs run.[3]
