Scott Pilgrim is an upcoming action adventure romantic comedy anime developed by Bryan Lee O'Malley and BenDavid Grabinski for Netflix. The series is based on the Scott Pilgrim graphic novels written and drawn by O'Malley.
Development[edit]
In January 2022, it was announced that Netflix and Universal Content Productions were developing an anime series based upon the Scott Pilgrim graphic novels by Bryan Lee O'Malley.
O'Malley will also serve as showrunner, writer, and executive producer alongside BenDavid Grabinski, with Abel Góngora serving as director. Edgar Wright and Michael Bacall, who previously directed and wrote the 2010 live-action film adaptation respectively, would also be coming on board as an executive producers. Science Saru will provide animation services for the series. However the series is still in the early stages of development, with a series order yet to be placed.[1]
