Seafair Inc.
Seafair, Inc.[1] is a global online maritime manning startup headquartered in New York, NY. It was founded in April 2020 by Agapitos Diakogiannis[2] with the goal of reliably connecting seafarers to shipping companies that own commercial vessels[3]. Seafair is funded by FJ Labs, a venture capital firm that has invested in other marketplace startups, like Airbnb, Uber, Flexport, and Rigup[4].
The first version of the Seafair platform launched in June 2020.
The Seafair team is headed by Agapitos Diakogiannis (Columbia Business School graduate and previously at the Boston Consulting Group)[5], Julia Moon (previously at Uber), Byron Antoniades (Imperial College graduate and previously at Bloomberg), and Vassilis Chrisofellis (previously at Microsoft, Oracle, HP, Dell, and General Electric)[6]
