Selfie with Bajrangi (सेल्फी विद बजरंगी) is an Indian action-comedy animated television series produced for children. Set in a contemporary fictional town named Funnipura in Northern India,[citation needed] the series blends 21st-century daily life with elements of Indian mythology. The show consists of 11-minute episodes focusing on themes of friendship, courage, and togetherness.[1]
Synopsis
The story centers on Ankush, a meek nine-year-old boy. His life changes when he encounters Bajrangi (a child-like version of the Hindu god Hanuman), a mysterious nine-year-old boy who becomes his best friend.[citation needed]
Bajrangi is only visible to Ankush. While he is an immortal being from thousands of years in the past, he attempts to adapt to 21st-century life, though his lack of modern context often leads to amusing and endearing consequences. He possesses mythical abilities like flight and size manipulation, which he complements with a high-tech, jewel-encrusted multipurpose mace (a version of the Gada) and a versatile, prehensile tail capable of handling any task. As an invisible entity, Bajrangi is extremely naughty and constantly plays pranks, which serves as a primary source of the show's humor.[2]
