Sellma Kasumoviq is a make up artist based in Prishtina, Kosovo, and is the owner of Studio Sellma. As of June 2018 her Instagram profile has just over 800,000 followers.[citation needed] She has released a line of cosmetic products, which include lip gloss and removable eyelashes. She is a lecturer of Phi Academy and regularly holds Master Classes on make up around the world, as well as working as an Instructor of Make Up at AAB University in Prishtina, Kosovo.
Early life[edit]
Sellma Kasumoviq-Spahiu was born on 14 May 1984 in Mitrovica, Kosovo; she attended the Aziz Sylejmani Elementary School in Mitrovica, and continued her high school studies at Sami Frasheri High School in Prishtina, Kosovo. At the age of 14, Kasumoviq started working part-time at a cosmetics store. Later, she earned a Bachelors Degree in Graphic Design from the University of Prishtina[disambiguation needed] – Arts Academy, as well as a Professional Degree in Make-up from Kryolan Professional Makeup Academy in Belgrade, Serbia. Kasumoviq has worked on many public figures and celebrities, including Dua Lipa [2][3], Era Istrefi[4], Adelina Ismaili[5], Argjentina Ramosaj[6], Nora Istrefi[5], and Dafina Zeqiri[7].
In January 2018, at a Masterclass event, Kasumoviq met with Mario Dedivanovic, who is Kim Kardashian's personal make-up artist, where she had the opportunity to do make-up on Mario's mother and sister.[6][8][9]
Kasumoviq has become the only Albanian make-up artist to collaborate with Huda Kattan, appearing in many of the artist's company website and social media posts[10][11]; Kasumoviqwas invited by Huda for a visit to Dubai during a Masterclass session.[12][13][14][15]
Kasumoviq regularly hold Phinesse Makeup Trainings around the world as part of Phi Academy.[16] She is an Instructor at AAB University where she teaches students Make-Up[17].
Studio Sellma[edit]
Kasumoviq opened up her first make-up and beauty studio in 2004, in Prishtina, Kosovo, initially working alone, but growing her business over the years; she now employs over 10 make up artists at her main studio in the Dragodan District of Prishtina.[citation needed]
In the early phases of Sellma Studio, Kasumoviq decided to team up with local hair stylist Kastriot Lleshi KACI, and fashion designer Valdrin Sahiti, creating a one-stop-shop for beauty solutions, and attracting clients from neighboring countries Albania, Macedonia, and Montenegro.[1]
