Sergei Levteev (Russian: Сергей Левтеев, IPA: [sʲɪrˈɡʲej lʲɪˈfʲtʲeɪf]) is Chairman of the Board of Directors of IBA Group.
Early life and education[edit]
Sergei Levteev was born on August 14, 1955 in Primorsky Krai, RSFSR into a military family. At the age of 15 he moved with his family to Minsk, Belorussian Soviet Socialist Republic.
In 1972 he enrolled at the Faculty of Automation and Computer Engineering in the Minsk Radio Engineering Institute (today the Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics (BSUIR), from which he graduated with honors.
Career[edit]
As part of the graduate placement scheme, he worked as a computer technician at the plant of electronic computers named after G. K. Ordzhonikidze (today - Minsk Production Association of Computer Technology (MPACT). It was at this enterprise, which in those years was one of the leaders in the IT industry of the USSR, with almost fifteen thousand employees, Sergei Levteev gained solid experience as an electronics engineer, having gone through all the stages of professional and career growth.
From 1985 to 1989 he worked in Finland, promoting Soviet computer technology on the Scandinavian market. Upon his return, he assumed the position of Deputy General Director of BelNPOVT. While in this executive position, Sergei Levteev gained sound experience in managing a large enterprise, which he subsequently successfully used in the management of IBA Group.
Since 2005, Mr. Levteev has been the Chairman of the Board of Directors of IBA Group. Also, in 2005, the head office of the IBA Group was moved from Minsk to Prague.[1] Since that time, Sergei Levteev has been a resident of the Czech Republic.[2]
Business Development[edit]
In 1998, an office was established in the USA, in 1999 – a development center in the Czech Republic, the German office was launched in 2000, in 2001 and 2006 two development centers were created in Belarus, in 2011 the IBA Group launched its office in Kazakhstan,[3] and in 2012 offices were established in Ukraine[4] and South Africa.[5] In 2015, a development center was opened in Slovakia. In March 2018, the development center in Bulgaria started its operations.[6] In 2021, IBA Group established another company in Kazakhstan – the IBA Astana Development center, which became a resident of the Astana Hub industrial park, the largest in Kazakhstan,[7] In 2021, a new development center launched its activities in Poland. At the beginning of 2022, IBA Group establishes an office in Croatia[8] and launches development centers in Georgia[9] and Lithuania.[10] IBA Group regularly ranks among TOP 25 Czech IT companies.[11][12]
Thus, at present, more than 20 IBA Group companies conduct their business in 12 countries of the world, and development centers operate in 8 countries.
In 2018, under the management of Sergey Levteev, IBA Group announced that it would join the network of the United Nations Global Compact, the world's largest initiative in the field of corporate sustainability. IBA Group publishes its corporate social responsibility reports on an annual basis (2018,[13] 2019,[14] 2020[15]).
Awards[edit]
2002 — Winner of the "Man of Action-2002" competition in the category "For the most inventive business idea embodied by a domestic entrepreneur" according to the magazine of international cooperation "Business (East + West)".[16]
Multiple winner of the "Entrepreneur of the Year" contest.[17]
In 2008, Sergei Levteev was elected to the Presidium of the International Public Association of Alumni and Trustees (MOOViP) MRTI-BSUIR. At the premises of the Department of Informatics of the Faculty of Computer Systems and Networks, a joint scientific, educational and production laboratory was established between BSUIR and the IBA Group of companies.[18]
In 2011, Sergei Levteev was awarded the badge "Quality Leader".[19]
In 2011, the IBA Group, headed by Sergei Levteev, won the ICFM (Institute of Certified Financial Managers) Honorary Award in the Best Employer of the Year category.[20]
Over the years of doing business, IBA Group under the leadership of Sergei Levteev has repeatedly become a finalist and winner of European[21][22][23][24] and international competitions and ratings.[25][26][27][28][29][30][31]
