Shadows of them is a video game developed by Video Game Design and Development MA students from the National Film and Television School. The game is a psychological short horror story which focuses on a mother attempting to process the death of her family as she becomes stuck in a seemingly endless loop on a London metro train.[1] The game is designed to evoke the feelings associated with grief but also covers the themes of problem gambling, alcoholism and drink driving. The game was released and made freely available to download on Windows through Itch.io on 10 April 2022.[2]
Gameplay
Shadows of them is an exploration, horror and puzzle game from a first person perspective through a number of challenges on a looping London Metro platform as the protagonist struggles to process their grief. The player is able to interact with certain objects to progress the story.
Development
The game was developed by Video Game Design and Development MA students from the National Film and Television School.
