Shaji Mathew (born 10 April 1964) is an Indian film producer living in New Delhi. His films include Ozhivudivasathe Kali, which won the best feature film award in the 2015 Kerala State Film Awards.[1]
Personal life
Shaji Mathew was born in Trichur, Kerala on 10 April 1964 and moved to New Delhi at a young age. He started a business in the textile industry. In 2012 he formed Niv Art Movies for movie production. He started producing films in 2013 by becoming the chief co-producer in Oraalppokkam directed by Sanal Kumar Sasidharan produced by Kazhcha Chalachithra Vedi. He has so far produced 5 films of award-winning director Sanal Kumar Sasidharan and became a strong voice in the independent film sector in India.[2] He established Niv Art Centre in 2008 for providing space for young and upcoming artists.[3]
