Sharafudeen Gbadebo Raji is a Nigerian Islamic Scholar, Preacher, and Educationist who is based in Ogbomoso, Oyo state Nigeria, and established himself as a major scholar of Islamic Jurisprudence and most of his lectures are delivered in Arabic, Yoruba, Hausa and English languages.

Education:

Dr. Sharafudeen Gbadebo Raji started and finished his High school education at Nurudeen Grammar school, Ogbomoso just before proceeding to an Arabic school in the Republic of Benin between 1983 and 1987 and He won a scholarship award to study at African International University Sudan in 1987 but because of their education system that differs from the one in the Republic of Benin, Dr. Sharafdeen had to undergo Senior Secondary education again from 1987 to 1990 and demonstrated again that he is worthy of the scholarship as he came out to be the best student in the whole Nation of Sudan for this reason, the university authority promised to sponsor his degree program anywhere in the world. He decided to move on to the Islamic University of Medinah and chose to study Fiqh (Islamic jurisprudence) in the most difficult faculty (of Law). Coming out of the first-class might not be important to say but his being the third best student for that year is worthy of mentioning as he bagged his Masters's degree between 1994 and 1999. He wrote his thesis in the little "Ruling relating to addition in worship" and the university authority published the book because of its uniqueness. Despite the first best student being from Palestine and the Second from Egypt, Dr. Sharafudeen was the first person to be given another scholarship after master's degree

Between the years 2000 and 2004. He did his Ph.D. program in fiqh (Islamic theological jurisprudence) again and worked on the same book-the book was also published by the authority and Dr. Sharafudeen was given another award popularly called the "Al-Medinah award" as the best student of the year in 2004.

He has written more than fifty (50) books and no translation from Arabic to Yoruba was done without Dr. Sharafudeen's involvement by the Saudi government.

Career:

After his Ph.D., Dr. Sharafudeen proceeded back to his hometown in Ogbomoso to begin preaching and reaching out to the locals in Saanu Aje area of Ogbomoso, Oyo State, Nigeria.

He shortly served as a visiting lecturer at the University of Ilorin's department of Arabic and Islamic Study.

He is currently fully at his hometown in Ogbomosho but was first staying in Jos where he used to deliver lots of lectures before finalizing to return home and as since then been delivering series of lectures in various mosques in Ogbomoso and its environs as well as supervising his Academy institution, popularly known as Al-Medinah Academy in Ogbomoso. He speaks Arabic, Yoruba, English, and Hausa languages fluently.

Ideology:

Dr. Sharafudeen's ideology is the Sunni Islam branch of faith with Salafiyyah manhaj (methodology).
