Sheikh Isa Mashwani is known as the first known Pukhtoon poet in history with great poetic potential. He wrote a "Risalah" on Unity of the divine being in three languages Pashto, Persian and Hindi.[1] He was a great saint and sheikh of Chishti Order.[2] He wrote a book in response to Sheikh Ahmed Son's book "Maseeh-al-Quloob" in which his son criticized him for his poetic verse.[3] He did very great work in Pashto, Persian and Hindi to praise monotheism.[4] He died in 1465 C.E.[5]
