Shiprocket is a tech-enabled logistics aggregator based out of Delhi that provides data-driven shipping solutions to over 40,000 Direct to Consumers active sellers across 26,000+ pin codes PAN India and 220 countries and territories internationally.[1][2][3]

Shiprocket was founded in 2017 by Saahil Goel, along with the co-founders, Gautam Kapoor, Vishesh Khurana and Akshay Ghulati.[4][5]

Shiprocket has raised over $14 million in funding from Bertelsmann India, Nirvana Ventures India, Beenext and 500 Startups.[4][6] In March 2016, the company raised $2 million in Series B round of funding from its existing investors and Japan’s Recruit Holdings.[7] In 2018 it raised a funding of $4.1 million.[7][4] In May 2020 Shiprocket raised $13 million in a Series C round led by Silicon Valley-based Tribe Capital, Innoven Capital and existing investor Bertelsmann India Investments.[2][8]

In 2019, Shiprocket appointed Sunil Kumar, who had previously worked with Rediff, Reliance Entertainment and ApnaPaisa, as its CTO,[9] and Indranil Nath who had worked with Club Factory, Flipkart, Ola Cabs,as its Head of Supply Chain Management.[10] The same year it launched ‘Early COD’ feature in India enabling its sellers to receive COD remittance on a daily basis.[11]

In 2020, during COVID-19 and national lockdown, Shiprocket launched its hyperlocal delivery services to deliver food, groceries, pharmaceuticals, masks, and sanitizers.[12][13]

  • In January 2020, Shiprocket was awarded as ‘BW Businessworld & BW Disrupt Techtors 2020’ for its tech-enabled logistics aggregator product, Shiprocket.[14]
