ShootYourShot is a mobile dating app[1][2][3] launched in 2015.[4][5][6]
The app focuses on simplicity and usability,[7][8][9][10] and does not make use of overly complex algorithms.[11][12][13][14]

ShootYourShot was founded by Dwayne Foreman, Jr.[15][16] an American dating specialist from New York[17] who wanted to make a more realistic, unbiased platform for dating app users.[18] Foreman came up with the idea in 2014, and founded the app in 2015/[19]
Process[edit]
ShootYourShot has a four-step process as follows: [20][21]
- Scouting: looking for a partner
- Drafting: letting the other person know that he or she has received interest
- Tryouts: getting to know the other person
- Cuffing: making the final decision
