Shriprakash R Pandey is the present Chairman and Managing Director[1] of Commtel Networks, a provider of communication, surveillance, and related technology solutions for Oil & Gas, Power, Transportation, and Defense sectors.[2]

Early life

Born and brought up in Mumbai,[3] Shriprakash completed his Advanced Management Program from Indian School of Business, Hyderabad and Kellogg School of Management at Chicago, IL. He commenced his career as an Engineer in the year 1991 at Olex Cables, an Australian multinational firm. Later within 7 years, he went on to head Olex's Indian Operations.[4]

Career

He established Commtel Networks in July 1998.[5] Today he also serves on the board of United Commtel,[6] a Texas-based NexGen communication innovation company. Commtel Networks hosts a range of products as well as services in the areas[7] of Systems Design Engineering, Integration, Implementation, Project Management, and Multi-location Supply Chain Management, as well as a 24x7 support.[8]

Commtel Networks Private Limited, headquartered in Mumbai, is a provider of telecommunication, surveillance, and related technology solutions.[9] It designs, builds, and manages networks over fiber, radio, or copper media—primarily in the sectors of Oil & Gas, Power, Transportation, and Defense.[10]

Awards and achievements

  • Awarded certificate for participation and technical presentation at IEEE ANTS (Advanced Networks and Telecommunications Systems) 2010 Exhibition at IIT-Bombay.[11]
  • Awarded certificate of appreciation at the international conference- the ASME India Oil & Gas Pipeline Conference 2011 representing the Pipeline Systems Division.[citation needed]
  • Commtel was awarded Winner’s Certificate from Nokia Siemens Networks for its ‘2008 Channel Partner Program Sales Challenge’.[8]
  • More than 50% of Oil & Gas trunked pipelines in India utilize communication systems deployed by Commtel Networks.[12]
