Shriram Dhote was a Social worker & Dalit Mitra award winner by vice president of India for their social work in rular areas of Chandrapur District, Maharashtra. They have created educational Institutions across district of Chandrapur & Gondia for providing education to rular students in the region.

Death - 24/10/2012 (Bramhpuri, Chandrapur)
Spouse - Kamaltai Dhote (1949-2012)

Children - Rajesh Dhote, Bharti Naktode, Varsha donadkar, Sanjay Dhote
Early life[edit]

Born in poor family in small village named Betada near bramhpuri in Chandrapur District. Lost their parents at very early. Struggled to complete their primary education. They moved to Nagpur to complete their further graduation from Mohata Science College. Sold Newspapers in early morning, attended college & worked part-time jobs in night to manage their expenses & needs.

Marriage & aftermath[edit]

They got married to Kamaltai Dhote at the age of 28. After working with bank job for many years in ramtek,they decided to go back to Brahpuri to work for rular society. Their they started a small typing business to carry family expenses.

Social Work[edit]

Knowing the struggle which poor childrens in rular india faces for pursuing basic education.They started helping childrens from their village financially. Thier wife was their only support system in all this work. Then they thought of starting Secondary school near their Village , but lacked financially. Therefore sold their land and build secondary school & junior college in the small village itkheda in Gondia district. They have also supported campaigns against alcohol ban in Chandrapur district.

Death[edit]

They Died in Christanand Hospital, Bramhpuri on 24 October 2012 at the age of 72.
