Shuah khan is a Linux kernel developer and Linux Foundation fellow.[1][2][3] She maintains the Kernel Selftest framework, USB over IP driver, CPU power monitoring subsystem, and Virtual Media Controller driver.[4]

In 2019, she became the third Linux Foundation fellow after Linus Torvalds, and Greg Kroah Hartman.[5][1][6][7] She is best known for her work on kselftest, a regression testing suite for the Linux kernel.[8][9]

She has also served on the Linux Foundation Technical Advisory Board.[10] and as the chair of the ELISA Project Technical Steering Committee.[11]

Early Life and Education[edit]

Khan was born in India.[12] She has a bachelors degree in Electronics and communications engineering and a masters degree in Computer science.[6][1]

Career[edit]

After completing her masters, she briefly worked at Bell labs.[1] She then worked at Hewlett Packard for 13 years.[1] She also worked at Samsung open source as senior kernel developer.[13][14]

Khan made her first contribution to the kernel in 2011.[10][5]

Activism[edit]

Khan has been vocal on gender gap in the Linux kernel community and advocates for diversity and inclusion.[12][15][6][16][17] She heads various mentorship and outreach programs to help bring new developers to the kernel.[18][12][19]
