Shumway is an unincorporated community in Lassen County, California.[1] It is located 14 miles (23 km) northwest of Karlo,[2] at an elevation of 5079 feet (1548 m).[1]
A post office operated at Shumway from 1887 to 1916.[2] The name honors Susie Shumway, its first postmaster.[2]
