SkedGo

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

SkedGo is a software development company, founded in 2009[1] and registered as an Australian Private Company in 2012.[2] The company has offices in Australia, Vietnam, Argentina, Finland, Germany and the United States[3].

SkedGo develops trip planning and routing software, its main products being the app TripGo and the TripGo Mobility API[4] for mobility as a service operators.[5] TripGo aims to allow users to customise trips by preferences, such as modes of transport, speed of trip, cost of trip and environmental impact.[6][7][8]

Overview[edit]

SkedGo was founded in Sydney, Australia by Claus von Hessberg, Adrian Schoenig and Tim Cooper. In 2017, the company employed 28 people worldwide.[9] SkedGo received three funding rounds by Tim Cooper and Green Point Sports Trust: $189k seed funding in November 2011, $750 seed funding in December 2011 and $1.15M angel investment in July 2013[10]. The TripGo app is available for iOS[11], Android[12] and as web app[13]. The app integrates third-party services Uber[14][15], What3Words[16] and PayIQ[17][18] as well as transport service providers globally. It uses OpenStreetMap data.[19]

The TripGo API[20] is used by Australian and global companies, such as Contact Light, Optus, Conduent, Ticketer and MaaS Global[21]. It allows businesses to integrate multi-modal trip planning into their apps[22]. In 2016, SkedGo created RioGo, a trip planning app for the Rio Olympics[23][24]. RioGo also integrates with What3Words.[25][26] SkedGo is a member of the MaaS Alliance.[27]

TripGo is endorsed by Transport for NSW[28][29]
