SkyShowtime is an European subscription video on-demand over-the-top streaming service owned and operated by Comcast and Paramount Global. Named after the Sky and Showtime entertainment brands, the service was launched on 20 September 2022. The service primarily shows content from NBCUniversal and Paramount Global studios and other third-party content providers, including original content, television series and films.
History
In August 2021, Comcast announced an agreement with ViacomCBS (now Paramount Global) to launch SkyShowtime, a joint streaming service combining programming from both companies which is based on the Peacock technology stack.[1][2] The service is expected to be available in 22 European territories, including four Nordic countries where it will replace ViacomCBS' Paramount+, instead of Peacock and Paramount plus[3] operating separately in those markets.[4]
Content
The service is drawn primarily from Paramount Global, Sky, and NBCUniversal libraries as well as original programming from Peacock and Paramount+. It is said to include at least 10,000 hours of content on-launch for subscribers. SkyShowtime provides the full library of content without ads available as a monthly subscription.
Launch
SkyShowtime was first launched in the Nordics on 20 September 2022.

- ↑ Kosovo is the subject of a territorial dispute between the Republic of Kosovo and the Republic of Serbia. The Republic of Kosovo unilaterally declared independence on 17 February 2008, but Serbia continues to claim it as part of its own sovereign territory. The two governments began to normalise relations in 2013, as part of the Brussels Agreement. Kosovo has been recognized as an independent state by 112 out of 193 United Nations member states. 10 states have recognized Kosovo only to later withdraw their recognition.
