Social Democrats of America (SDA) is a political association of democratic socialists and social democrats founded in 2021. It is a political faction of the United States Democratic Party. In June 2023, SDA launched the https://draftaoc.us website and invite many left groups to join the coalition calling for AOC to create an exploratory committee. [1] SDA uses the non-partisan webtool Rep My Block [2] to run candidates for New York County Democratic Committee.

In 2023, Paperboy Love Prince ran for New York City's 34th City Council district and was endorsed by Chris Smalls [3] , and in September 2023, his leader, Theo Chino, came last for the bid to the chairmanship of the New York County Democratic Committee but his run forced one of the candidates to disenfranchise voters.[4] [5]
