Sonal Pradhan[1] is an Indian music composer, singer, and songwriter[2] known for her contributions to the Indian film and web series industry. She has worked on various projects, showcasing her talent and versatility in music.[3][4]
Early Life and Background
Sonal Pradhan was born on August 23 in Dehradun, Uttarakhand. She hails from a middle-class family. She completed her schooling at CJM (Convent of Jesus and Mary)[5] in Dehradun. Despite clearing the IIT BArch entrance exam, she decided to pursue her passion for music.[6][7]
Music Career
Pradhan started learning music at the age of three and a half from her mother. She received training in Indian classical music from Jindey Guruji and Sir Suchit Narang at the age of four.[8] She began performing on stage at the age of four and won her first Best Singer award at the age of five.[9][10]
In 2018, Sonal Pradhan gained significant recognition when she worked as a music composer and singer for the web series "Maaya 2" and "Zakhmi,"[11] directed by Vikram Bhatt. Her song "Apne Hi" in her voice became a chart-topping hit. She has collaborated with artists like Neha Kakkar, Sunidhi Chauhan, Asees Kaur, Ankit Tiwari, Amit Mishra, Sunny Leone, and Yasser Desai.[12][13]
