The Sparkassenstiftung für internationale Kooperation e.V. is an institution of the German Savings Banks and Giro Association (DSGV). It actively supports financial institutions in developing and emerging countries that sustainably promote economic and social development at local, regional, or national level through needs-based banking services.

Sparkassenstiftung is active in more than 50 countries in Africa, Southeast Asia, Central Asia, the Caucasus, Central and South America. The project offices are staffed by expatriates and local personnel. To this end, 400 short-term expert assignments are carried out annually.
