David Axel Cazares Casanova (born March 22, 1992), better known as Sr Pelo, is an Mexican YouTuber, animator, satirist and voice actor known for creating Spooky Month and his parodies videos on Newgrounds and YouTube and involvement in Newgrounds. He credits his own videos as David Axel. One of his parodies videos was Mokey's Show, a parody of the iconic animated character Mickey Mouse.
Personal Life
David Axel Cazares Casanova was born on March 22, 1992 in Coatzacoalcos, Veracruz. It is unknown who Casanova's family is; however, he is known to have parents and a sibling.[1]
Career
Before joining YouTube, Casanova joined DeviantArt as "I-Freez".[2] At first, he created art of his Sonic OC, but later focused more on Flash animations, such as the Super Warnoldo series, Las Aventuras de Copy Pop, and the Un Flash Cortito series, all of which is written and voiced in Spanish.[3][4][5] He also made an animation for a school project that contained excessive amounts of violence and gore, that made the teacher cry, and got the teacher talking to his parents.[5] Casanova later created his YouTube channel in 2008, originally called "123pendojos" but changed his channel name to "Sr Pelo".[6] In 2017, he reached one million subscribers.
In July 2019, Casanova released a video titled "Every Story Time Animation". It appears that this video caused controversy between Casanova and Egoraptor because of its content.[7] On November 9th 2023, Pelo would be invited to join an online animation panel with creators such as Vivziepop, creator of Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss, and Gooseworx, creator of The Amazing Digital Circus.[8]
Spooky Month
On October 28, 2018, Casanova created Spooky Month[9] an halloween-themed comedy web series for Newgrounds and YouTube. Throughout the series, it follows the adventures of Skid and Pump, two hyperactive and Halloween-obsessed children. In 2020, PhantomArcade asked Casanova permission to use Skid and Pump in the game. Casanova was pleased to put Skid and Pump in Friday Night Funkin'.[10]
