Srdjan Djokovic 1960 or 1961 (age 65–66) is a Kosovo-born Serbian former professional skier and ski coach, and a restauranteur and shop keeper.

He is the father of tennis players Novak Djokovic, Djordje Djokovic, and Marko Djokovic.

Early life

Djokovic was born in Kosovo[1] and grew up in Mitrovica.[2] His father was Vladimir Djokovic[3] (died April 2012).[4]

He later moved to Belgrade.[1]

Career

Djokovic is a former professional skier[5] and ski coach,[6] who worked in Kopaonik.[1] He currently is the owner-operator of the Red Bull pizza restaurant[1] and a sports shop in the Serbian mountains.[6] He opened the restaurant, which has no connection to the drinks company with the same name, in 1999.[1] While some accounts describe Djokovic as a former player at the Kosovo football club KF Trepça, the 2022 book Ein Leben lang im Krieg (English: A lifetime at war) by Daniel Müksch reports a lack of supporting evidence of this.[1]

In January 2023, he was seen during the Australian Open tennis tournament near the Rod Laver Arena[7] with the pro-Vladimir Putin motorcycle gang the Night Wolves.[8][5]

Family life

Djokovic is married to Dijana Djokovic.[5] They are the parents of three sons: Novak[5][9] (born 1987), Marko (born 1991), and Djordje (born 1995).[1]

In 2022, Djokovic criticised the Government of Australia for not letting his eldest son, Novak, enter the country due to COVID-19 public health rules.[10]

Djokovic was aged 62 in 2023.[11]
