Sreejith Sarang is an Indian film editor, producer and digital intermediate colourist, Who works predominantly in Malayalam cinema along with Tamil and Telugu language films. He is considered one of the leading contemporary film editors in the Malayalam film industry and has introduced several new editing techniques to regional films.[2] Sreejith Sarang had a clear career path and goal to be in the field of Editing which was his passion.[3]
Early life[edit]
Sreejith Sarang was born into a family of artists. His father, Sarangadharan KR was a drawing teacher at a school in Palakkad. He was also a karate and tai chi expert. He was born in Thrissur but brought up in Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu , India. His college and schooling life were at that place. However, he did a Diploma in Media and Technology from the School of Audio Engineering Institute in Chennai, which is originally a branch of the SAE Institution located in Sydney.[4] He has come a long way from his editing of short films.[5]
Career[edit]
Sreejith Sarang started his career as an independent editor in the year 2007. In 2008, subsequently, he started editing and grading short films, tv commercials.[6] Gradually from the year 2010, he started working on feature films, and his debut film was Thakka Thakka in Tamil, Alias Janaki in Telugu, and Angels in Malayalam. Later he has done editing and color grading for several notable feature films in Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam industries. He is part of the production company called THEFRESHLIMESODAS along with his friends Nirmal Sahadev, Jakes Bejoy, and Giju John. Their first production was Kumari[7] in Malayalam. Sreejith Sarang has his own Edit and DI Post Production House called Sarangspost & SarangsDI in Chennai.
